Predestination is an often discussed topic in palm reading .
Do we have the ability to steer the course of our own destiny? or is it written in the stars?
Is fate in our hands?
The answer may not be so black and white but I will do what most blogs do and answer this now. The answer is both yes and no. Those with clear, deeply ingrained fate (career, duty, destiny, luck) lines that appear to cut the palm in two, like a spine of a book (the palm being a novel) are much more likely to have a destiny that (if =on the left hand) they feel are less able to control. (If on the right) They are more or less bound to one linear path, unable to get off the train track of life.
In this blog I look at the images of the same hands 20 years apart!
It's rare that palmists have access to this kind of insight. The nerd in me jumped at the opportunity to share and explore this with those willing to read and discover with me.
Why do good people suffer, is it fate?
I expect we all ask this at some point in our lives and try to find the answers in our own ways. It is quite a personal answer, but the question is universally asked by us all.
In the west, the concept of destiny appears to be something of a past ideology to most. More associated with ancient paganism or 'new ageism'.
The ancients believed in a web of connected events that bind us all, controlled by three blind crones or 'fates'. There may well be some hint of truth to this. The explanation of outside forces manipulating our courses of life, set out for us.
Belief is of course personal. The comfort we seek in the answers can lead us to a sense of peace, depending on where that might be. For many religion provides this.
I have seen glimpses of the future at times, which leads me to believe that certain aspects of it are unavoidable.
Personally I believe that there are some things entirely outside of our grasp, events ahead of us we cannot shift or avoid.
I also believe there is pure circumstance and differentiating between the two is likely near impossible.
Interestingly, palmistry suggests the events that occur in our hand as being affected by the planets, relying on astrology as a means of explanation as well as ourselves. This to me makes the most sense. That we are both fated and in control at the same time. There are differing levels of each. Some of us are more fated than others as seen in our very own fate lines.
The stronger and deep the fate line, the less purchase to control we own, the more fated we are. The answer to this question may be both fate and our own circumstance.
Do the palm lines change over time?
Many people ask me do the palm lines change over time, they do. Even the fingers sway and alter in length and thickness over time. The palms' mounts can also develop over time.
The vertical line in palmistry that I refer to in this blog is commonly called the fate line, duty line or career line. There are several potential origins and destinations of the fate line,
not everyone has one, but, if present, it always travels from the lower regions of the palm upwards. It is a measure of our chosen or not so chosen journey that we can time events, promotions, hobbies that turn into careers, interests that may run alongside our careers. It shows us our life path, our purpose, our destiny. For this reason it is often called the destiny line.
For most of us, I believe if we change our present circumstances, we change our future circumstances. Palmistry shows us that we literally have this control in our hands. In this blog I show proof of this in palmistry. Most palmists do not have access to images that allow for this sort of study, because most have not studied for as long.
The following man's hands were read 20 years apart.
Look at this image of a mans hand at the age of 18
Now look at the same man's hands 20 years later at age 38
Can you see the differences here?
The central vertical line running up the palm is commonly referred to as the fate line. Notice how this has changed in the later image?
There were 2 potential paths this person could have taken, he took my mentor’s advice and solidified and grounded his career instead, and by the age of 38, he created a stable road ahead.
I'd love to read comments on your thoughts about how this person has changed.
At 18 he has a double fate line but at age 38 he has only one. This shows he had and pursued a career in the limelight, along side his day job, he now no longer pursues his name in lights and instead carved a single more financially stable role.
The lines on our hands show us a current view of things to come, the most likely picture of events ahead of us based off our current circumstances.
The differences in these images are vast to the trained eye, and point towards great change in career, finances emotional and psychological outlook, reputation and health.
Over the years, I have seen many palms that show a strong fatalist path, a powerful coursing journey that appears to cut the palm in two, as though the hand's owner has no control in the direction of their train tracks of life are taking them.
Take a look at the images below of two such previous clients
Notice how the fate line appears to carve the palm in half. With only a brief interlude of uncertainty at age 35, where the fate line meets the head line. This is a likely period of great change in career at this time, the only time in their life where they may feel, or have any actual control over their destiny.
The above person's fate line is arguably the strongest and most powerful palmar feature in their hand. People with such strong, vertical lines always feel as though hey have no control over the events in their lives, as though the things that happen do so for a reason.
Prediction is possible using palmistry in the same way weather data is or stock exchange information to forecast events. For some this is much more true than others, especially those with stronger fate lines. The events predicted are usually not set in stone because we can change our present circumstances, which will change the potential future outcome, all of which are displayed in our hands.
For most of us, our fate lies in our hands.
